So You Think You Can Dance Reality Show

So You Think You Think You Can Dance is an interactive reality show based in the United States, airing worldwide. Developed by the UK’s own Simon Fuller (American Idol creator and former Spice Girls manager), So You Think You Can Dance premiered in 2005 and has since been a reality TV sensation. A mixture of buskers and dance champs gather in Vegas to audition for one of the fifty spots available on this competitive show. Hosted by Cat Deely, audiences are led through a whirlwind of emotion, elimination and triumph as resident judges Nigel Lythgoe (producer of American Idol, Pop Idol and professional dancer), Mary Murphy (the show’s top squealer and ballroom dance champion) and guest judges pluck out the eyesores for the true choreographed gems. Like American Idol, contestants results depend solely on viewer voting- from the top twenty, fixed couples are elimated together until the roster reaches ten. Once the show gets down to the wire, it’s anyone’s guess who will be paired with who and what style they’ll be performing.
